Sheri E. Robinson, CPA, CFP® – Director

Sheri Robinson joined Stavis Margolis Advisory Services, Inc. (SMA) in April 2007. Prior to joining SMA, Ms. Robinson was a Senior Vice President at AmSouth Bank, responsible for creating AmSouth's Financial Planning Group. Ms. Robinson previously worked with Charles D. Haines, LLC, a nationally recognized independent financial planning firm, where she was a senior financial planner. She began her career in 1990 with The Welch Group, LLC, also a nationally recognized independent financial planning firm, and was a shareholder in the firm and served as Director of Financial Planning.

Ms. Robinson is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) of North Alabama chapter, of which she is also the past president. She is also very active with the FPA national organization having served on its Professional Advisory Council (1995 - 1998), Nation Government Relations Committee (1999 - 2003), and the 2005 San Diego National Conference task force. She currently serves on FPA's inaugural Public Issues Committee. She is also a member of the Alabama Society of CPAs, the Estate Planning Council of Birmingham (board of directors 2004 - 2006), and the UAB Professional Advisory Council.

A native of Florida, Ms. Robinson holds a B.S. in accounting from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is the Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner™. Her civic contributions include her involvement in the Sunrise Rotary Club of Alabama, The Birmingham Botanical Society, the Zonta Club of Birmingham, the latter of which she is also the past president, and the YWCA Junior Board.
