Mary Banic Margolis - Principal

Mary Margolis is a Certified Financial Planner™ professional, a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Personal Financial Specialist. Fewer than one percent of CPAs share the Personal Financial Specialist designation, which is the first sub-specialty of the CPA. Mary offers securities through and is a registered representative of FSC Securities Corporation. Member of FINRA/SIPC, one of the largest broker dealers servicing over three thousand independent financial planners.

Beginning her career with Price Waterhouse, Mary has been in the financial industry for more than 14 years, including three years as Controller of the Magnetic Products Group of Sony Corporation of America. Building on her technical and financial background, she began advising individual clients in affiliation with CIGNA Financial Advisors in 1991. In June 1996, Deborah Stavis and Mary Margolis established their own firm, Stavis, Margolis Advisory Services, Inc.

Mary is a member in the Houston Chapter of Texas Society of CPAs, past Chairman for the Small Business Committee and Member of the Personal Financial Planning Committee. Mary is a frequent lecturer to Fortune 500 companies, as well as the Texas Society of CPAs, Houston Chapter. She is a graduate of Duquesne University.
